![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Though I have no idea what the performance cost of such a feature would be, especially with high level gameplay spawning like 50 items on the screen. Probably something that indicates a rough fraction of despawn time left while being fairly subtle art wise. This means that even though youre taking a second ability to hopefully increase the overall damage of engineer, in reality, youre overall damage is decreasing. perhaps if there was a visible despawn indicator where players could know how long they have to pick it up. The harpoon missiles reset the cooldown and even lock use of the mines whenever you decide to lock on with them. Forcing a despawn may force the player to run through or past the nutty horde of monsters to get the precious item. Perhaps they've seen too many instances of players grouping up creatures and using various cheese strategies to keep themselves isolated from those creatures, being able to plink away at them with impunity and pick up the remains afterward. Whether it gains enough performance to justify such a trade off is one of opinion. Just my 2 cents, but yeah.if that's intended I'd really hate that unmentioned change.Ĭlick to expand. It may be a performance choice, since less entities that have to remain drawn/stored means improved performance. Why the fuck does anyone think despawning drops, especially persistent ones, are a good design choice? It's not a challenging game mechanic, it's just making bad situations and smart plays punishing for the player and rewards stupidly charging into a bulk of shit to get an item before it's gone. I despise vanishing drops, and in a hard Roguelite like RoR it's even most infuriating and plainly bad and dumb design, that forces you to throw away decent to good runs with unnecessarily risky maneuvers, just to get item drops and such before shit despawns and adds another level of hectic to the game, which really helps no one. This causes them to fall much faster than normal, and when they hit the ground, they create an explosion whose damage and size scale with the distance they fell. As the holder falls, they can 'lock on' to the nearest enemy by holding the 'interact' key (default 'E' on keyboard). So.do they despawn after that super brief time even when you stand next to them? You can build an enclosure such as a barn, house, or fenced area to trap 2 of the animal you want to farm and start breeding. The H3AD-5T v2 is an item in Risk of Rain 2. Click to expand.Does that happen onscreen too?īecause I know use items used to despawn eventually after changing them and going away from them.īut today I had 2 boss drops despawn, because the adds were chasing me away, when I returned there was nothing. ![]()
